5 pages maximum – any script that exceeds this page count will be automatically disqualified. This includes any combination of scenes excerpted from a full narrative screenplay, or a complete script for a narrative film short.
ENTRY FEES: If an accepted submission involves two or more writers as applicants, each writer will pay the full entrance fee of $69 to participate in the program. You'll learn more in these 5 days than in any classroom! THE CONNECTICUT FILM FESTIVAL 5-DAY SCREENWRITER'S IMMERSION PROGRAM IS NOW TAKING SUBMISSIONS FOR ENTRY. SUBMISSIONS ARE ON A ROLLING BASIS UNTIL THE PROGRAM FILLS. CLICK HERE FOR RULES AND APPLICATION. WRITERS UNBLOCKED: SCREENWRITER'S IMMERSION PROGRAM FEATURING SATURDAY MORNING MASTER CLASS A multi-day event in which screenwriters can see and hear their short script or excerpt performed at a videotaped professional reading (See Rules for Submission for details). Each attendee is assigned a 3-hour, four-person workshop, where they will work in small groups with our instructors to review and critique their scripts, and receive personalized instruction to help improve their work. |

Casting Call for Your Script May 2012 date TBA – 9am: Casting Call! Writers will select actors to read from their scripts and will cast their movies by the end of the day. Actors will show up at 9am and check in until 10am. 10am – 12pm, casting sessions will be held for the first five scripts. 12pm – 1pm will be lunch. 1pm – 6pm, casting sessions for the remaining ten scripts will be held. |

Readings of All Accepted Scripts. Writers will conduct a read through of their script with the actors they cast the day before. This read through will be video taped. Actors and writers show up at 9am. Event will run from 9am through noon. |

Instructional Consultation Days Writers will work with professional writers and instructors on their scripts. 9am – 12pm, workshop. 12pm – 1pm, lunch. 1pm – 4pm, workshop. |
