Like the Independent Filmmaker, film festival programmers and producers seek ways to be creative, to differentiate, break the rules and in essence, express their "independent point of view". Like you, we can’t sit still, we need to be unique. After all there are more than 2500 film festivals out there. Yikes!
In 2007-08 we raised the bar by producing 9 weekend film festivals from September 07 – April 08. When you submit to the Connecticut Film Festival your film will be screened in multiple cities throughout the state. There will be with more than 40 days of screening opportunities. The 08-09 season has 9 weekend festivals planned and a 6 day and night festival in May 2009.
The May 2009 festival will be Connecticut’s largest film festival event ever, showcasing the best of 12 months of submissions, a multitude of workshops, panels and round tables, and numerous Independent Musical artists as well as The 2009 Student Filmmaker Summit.
