Wag the Dog was not just an exploration of what happens when Washington exploits Hollywood’s talent for selling fantasies, but ultimately its Machiavellian code of conduct in the area of messaging and public relations. Communication--the ability to connect and manipulate—is perhaps the most interesting part of politics we can observe.

"Building an Industry: Film as an Economic Driver in Connecticut"

A talk with economic development directors of cities and towns that will be housing movie studios, including South Windsor (Connecticut Studios), Stamford (Connecticut Film Center), and Stratford (Dogstar Studios). Started in 2008, the FITP has trained over 250 state residents to work on film and television projects that come into the state, and has created original short films for FITP graduates to use as calling cards to help get into the industry. This year, the program will be held at Quinnipiac University in Hamden.
