"The Fly Boys"
http://www.theflyboysmovie.com/

Flyboys imagesJason (Jesse James) and Kyle (Reiley McClendon), recent friends from different sides of the tracks, become embroiled in the adventure of their lives when they discover a mysterious airplane at the local small-town airport. The boys sneak aboard the plane for a look, but are forced to hide in the luggage compartment when two strange men show up. Soon Jason and Kyle unexpectedly find themselves airborne over the open Arizona desert. After hours in the air, the boys unwittingly uncover a bomb in the luggage compartment. When they burst into the cabin to report their discovery, they find that everyone on board has bailed out. The boys must take the controls and land the plane themselves. But their troubles are only beginning as Jason and Kyle realize that they've foiled a heist to steal millions of dollars from the mob in this high-action, coming-of-age film.

"Americanizing Shelley"

Starring the very funny, talented and stunning (East of the film) Namrata Singh Gujral and US film legend Beau Bridges, "Americanizing Shelly" is one of five projects of Christo Bakalov's retrospective which will be screening during the festival. You can also see Christo's DP talents in Whirly Girl (produced and shot entirely in Connecticut) on Saturday at 3:45pm "Samsara" on Saturday at 5:30pm and Glacier Bay as well as Love & Class In Connecticut during the CT Filmmakers Program at 4:30pm on Thursday.

"Americanizing Shelley" (con't): In the vein of “Bend It like Beckham,” and “My Big Fat Greek Wedding,” "Americanizing Shelley” is a contemporary 'Pygmalion” like comedy, set in LA, featuring an American country boy and a Himalayan village belle, thrown together in this “Middle America” meets “Middle East” charmer. Responding to a challenge thrown by the CEO of a Hollywood management company (Bridges), “Americanizing Shelley” tells the story of a wanna-be Hollywood player from the deep South, who sets out to Americanize an Indian girl
straight from the Himalayas. As he creatively teaches her all about the American way of life and what it takes be a Hollywood celebrity, he ends up learning a
thing or two about his own life. Their clash in cultures soon gives way to understanding, unity and love as they begin to see the world through each others eyes.
